Stocking Spring focuses in the detection and identification of bacteria, algae and fungi whether present in complex samples, at low copy number or as members of microbial communities. Stocking Spring has a particular interest in technologies that deliver high throughput low cost solutions suitable for incorporation into robust validated pipelines.
Based in the UK Stocking Spring has an ongoing research programme exploring the use of DNA barcodes to characterize biological systems particularly primary colonization of new substrates.
